Bankruptcy Can Stop Foreclosure
Filing a Chapter 7 case will sidetrack a
lender’s right to foreclose. Unless a lender can get permission
to go forward with the foreclosure proceedings by requesting
and receiving “relief from the automatic stay” from the court, you are
"home free".
That relief is not likely to be granted unless the lender can
demonstrate "lack of adequate protection" by showing
depreciating collateral or one of several other means. The
burden is always on the creditor in a lift stay proceeding to
show special and unusual circumstances, and the lender must
further demonstrate to the court that the property is not
necessary to the debtors effective debt reorganization.A
Chapter 7 can permanently stop a foreclosure, if
the creditor agrees or the homestead (exemption) laws stop the
liquidation of the property.
If the conditions above that must be met in Chapter 7 cannot be met
in order to permanently stop a foreclosure.

Corona is a city in Riverside County, California, United States. As of the 2000 census,
the city had a total population of 124,966. The city of Norco lies to the northeast, Chino
Hills and Yorba Linda to the west, and the Cleveland National Forest to the southwest;
unincorporated areas of Riverside County line all of its other borders

As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 124,996 people, 37,839 households, and 30,384 families residing in the city. The population density was 3,555.5 people per square mile (1,372.7/km˛). There were 39,271 housing units at an average density of 1,117.3/sq mi (431.4/km˛). The racial makeup of the city was 75.0% White, 6.43% Black or African American, 0.87% Native American, 7.54% Asian, 0.31% Pacific Islander, 17.52% from other races, and 5.30% from two or more races. 25.5% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
